Description

Blodgett Peak hiking trail leads steeply up the mountain to a relatively-low elevation peak. However, the views from the top make the climb worth it, as it gives panoramic views of nearby Pikes Peak and the United States Air Force Academy.

Directions

From I-25 take Woodmen Rd exit (149) and head west. Cross bridge over train-tracks. At next light Woodmen turns to the right, follow it. Stay on Woodmen for several miles (5 or so) as it passes a school on the left. At stop sign continue straight as it winds through sub-divisions. Woodmen gains in altitute as it head west and then it starts to run parallel to the range. On your right you will see a fire-road with a gate, a small sign identifies it as Blodget Open Space. Pull in and park or park on the street.
